A Partner of STEAMKidz is hosting an Aviation Camp where students in 3rd - 8th grade can learn
about aviation, build a model plane, hear from a professional pilot, work with Arduinos, and build their own rockets!
The camp will take place, April 2nd and 3rd from 10 am - 1:00 pm.

Palmetto Library with Kidgineers |
STEAM Summer Camp |
STEAMKidz held an engineering workshop with Kidgineers at Palmetto Library in Palmetto, GA. The kids learned about all the different types of engineering, and made engineering projects like spaghetti towers and hoop gliders.

With funding from NCWIT, the National Center for Women & Information Technology, STEAMKidz hosted a virtual summer camp in late July 2020. The camp was for girls in 4th-8th grade. They got to: learn different programming languages and create games and websites using Python, HTML, and CSS; make animated flip-books and watercolor paintings; learn about engineer and how structures and bridges are built; and hear from women in STEM fields talk about their experiences in STEM.

STEAMKidz had an online afterschool STEAM club that meet weekly from September to November 2020. This club was for boys and girls in 4th - 8th grade. In the club, kids got to learn different coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and Python. They also got to create games and programs using the languages that they learned!

STEAMKidz hosted a three-day summer camp at CFAF in Cumming during early June 2021. During this camp, 4th thru 8th grade boys and girls learned about HTML & CSS, programmed Arduino Uno microcomputers, and wrote a simple business plan! We covered a variety of subjects including engineering, business, and engineering.

STEAM Day with Corners Outreach
STEAMKidz partnered with Corners Outreach (https://cornersoutreach.org/) to hold a one-day event for K-4th graders. They learned some basics of building structures by creating towers with spaghetti and marshmallows. They learned about different coding languages such as binary and Python.
